With about 60 islands to choose from, it is impossible not to enjoy an excursion or two. While you can stay all day and night in any of the Caribbean luxury villas available, why not take advantage of the many beautiful spots and places. Hop on a boat and set out for a cruise.
Sail to Jost Van Dyke
One morning, rise early, leave the sleepy Caribbean luxury villas on Tortola behind and set sail for Jost Van Dyke. Make sure you pack your snorkels. Arrive in Road Town, get on the boat and let the adventure begin. Lie in the shade of coconut trees that encircle the beautiful sands of Great Harbour, Little Harbour and White Bay.
Enjoy the local food or set off and explore the ruins of old sugar mills left behind by the early settlers. You can hike the old trails that run all across the island or, for the utmost in natural comfort – soak yourself in the natural hot tub formed by the sea in the island’s East End.
If, you would rather spend time admiring other natural wonders, walk up the hills. If you are an avid birder, you will surely enjoy it. Yet, even those who are not enjoy the incredible views.
Stop Over on Virgin Gorda
If you want to see the famous Baths, take time to make it over to Virgin Gorda. The Baths are distinctive. Giant granite stones and secretive sea pools make this place unique. Take a tour around the island but make sure you stop at Coppermine Point.
Cruise from Island to Island
If you enjoy sailing the Caribbean, set your compass to any of the smaller islands. Take a hill walk on Peter Island, climb up to the lighthouse on Salt Island or hike your way to Sunset Point on Guana Island. For something completely different, stop in at Cooper Island for a long, cool, exotic drink or sail over to Anegada and stroll the 35-mile stretch of Lobolly Bay Breach.
If the idea of pirates is one that calls to you, make the time to visit Norman Island. Better still make plans to see to Dead Chest Island. Rumour has it that the infamous Blackbeard made a stop here. When he left, he abandoned his entire crew with, (so the legend goes), only a single bottle of rum.
The British Virgin Islands are an ideal place to spend your holiday time. Plan well in advance before you come and arrange to rent one of the Caribbean luxury villas in this magnificent paradise. It is a sure thing you will come back again and again.
